Tan Sri Ahmad Badri was appointed Chairman of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) effective 1 May 2020. Prior to this, he served as the Secretary General of Treasury in the Ministry of Finance from 12 September 2018. He has been a member of the EPF Investment Panel since 2014 and has extensive experience in strategic investment, loan management, financial markets, and actuarial science.
He began his career as a Senior Valuation Executive at C.H. Williams, Talhar & Wong Sdn. Bhd. before being appointed as Assistant Secretary in the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance in 1989, where he served for nearly 30 years.
He is currently Chairman of both EPF and RHB Bank Berhad and has previously served as a Director of Bank Negara Malaysia, the Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP), Permodalan Nasional Berhad, and Tenaga Nasional Berhad, among others.
Tan Sri Ahmad Badri holds a degree in Land and Property Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
