Encik Mustamir Mohamad, Male, 52, a Malaysian, is the Managing Director of UMW Division. He was appointed on 13 December 2023. Prior to this role, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer of Sime Darby Berhad from 21 November 2017 to 12 December 2023.

Encik Mustamir began his career in 1995 at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, managing audit clients in the Oil & Gas sector. Returning to Malaysia in 1999, he joined the Banking Supervision Department at Bank Negara Malaysia. He left Bank Negara Malayisa in 2005 where he was Manager of Investment Operations and Financial Markets, responsible for implementing monetary policy, including interest rate and liquidity management in the domestic money market.

In September 2005, Encik Mustamir joined Sime Darby Berhad as Manager of Value Management in Group Strategy, focusing on strategic planning, corporate finance, market intelligence, and research for the Plantation Sector. He moved to Sime Darby Plantation in September 2007 as Head of the EVP Office, during the merger of Sime Darby Berhad, Golden Hope Plantations Berhad, and Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad group of companies.

Encik Mustamir was the Head of Group Finance at Sime Darby Berhad from February 2014 to November 2017. Before this, he led the strategy and business development function at Sime Darby Plantation, overseeing strategy formulation, investment evaluation, and mergers and acquisitions.

Encik Mustamir holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He also completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School in Boston.
