Alicia O’Donoghue

Group Chief Strategy Officer

Ms Alicia O’Donoghue, Female, 47, an Australian, is the Group Chief Strategy Officer. She was appointed to the role on 1 October 2024. Prior to that, she was the General Manager of Portfolio Strategy for the Industrial Division.

Ms O’Donoghue joined the Sime Darby Group in 2020, as the General Manager of Portfolio Strategy for the Industrial Division. She was later promoted to the Group Chief Strategy Officer.

She is responsible for developing and in partnership with the divisional leaders, implementing the Group’s strategy roadmap for organisational optimisation, future investment and competitive advantage.

Ms O’Donoghue has over 25 years experience in senior strategy roles having spent most of her career in Management Consulting. She has worked for Deloitte London, PwC Australia and EY Oceania across a diverse set of industries and geographies. Immediately prior to joining Sime Darby, Ms O’Donoghue was the Vice President Markets and Strategy, Asia Pacific at Orica.

Ms O’Donoghue holds a Bachelor of Business (Management and Marketing) and a Bachelor of Communications (Psychology), from Monash University in Melbourne, a Masters in Market Strategy from Monash University in Melbourne and an MBA from the University of Queensland. She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
