Dato' Jeffri Salim Davidson

Dato’ Jeffri began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in London in 1986. He joined Sime Darby in 1992 as an Accountant and held various senior finance roles until 1996, including serving as Finance Manager at Sime Rengo Packaging Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sime Darby.

In 2004, Dato’ Jeffri returned to Sime Darby as Finance Director of Tractors Malaysia Holdings Berhad within the Industrial Division, overseeing the finance function for the Division’s regional operations in Malaysia, Singapore, and China. In 2007, he was appointed Managing Director of The China Engineers, Limited in Hong Kong and later moved to Guangzhou, China, to manage Sime Darby Industrial’s Caterpillar distribution business in southern China and Xinjiang. In May 2014, he also took on responsibilities for the power systems business, which provides engines and after-sales support primarily for the marine, oil & gas, and energy industries, with significant operations in Singapore, China, and Malaysia.

Dato’ Jeffri served as Senior Vice President for China, Singapore, and Power Systems within the Industrial Division from 2014 to 2016 before becoming Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer of Sime Darby in 2016.

Dato’ Jeffri is currently a Director of UMW Holdings Berhad, Kumpulan Sime Darby Berhad, Sime Darby Holdings Berhad, Sime Darby Malaysia Berhad, and several other private companies under the Sime Darby Group. He is also a Director of Yayasan Kecemerlangan Sukan Malaysia, a Council Member of Yayasan Sime Darby and The Outward Bound Trust of Malaysia, and a Member of Majlis Pekerjaan Negara.

Dato’ Jeffri obtained his Bachelor of Science in Geology from University College London, United Kingdom, in 1986. He is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He also attended the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
